Welcome to Solano Youth Theatre!
SYT is the award-winning youth theatre arm of Solano College’s
celebrated theatre training program, presenting quality theatre workshops
and productions for young people throughout Solano County since 1995,
and with over six hundred performances under our belts, we’ve got
the returning students, beaming parents, and cheering audiences to prove
it!
We cast and accept all interested students, 6 to 19 years old, regardless
of experience, up to our enrollment limits. Our varied programs allow
us to provide a safe yet exciting experience for beginning students,
as well as a tougher challenge and more advanced training for “seasoned
veterans.”
SYT operates year-round in Fairfield/Suisun, Vallejo/Benicia, and Vacaville.
Through our unique relationship with Solano College, our young performers
are taught by accredited theatre faculty and receive academic credit
regardless of age. All of our shows feature professional-level sets,
lighting, and costumes, helping make every moment under the spotlight
an unforgettable experience.
We are proud to say that we have never turned away a student due to
his or her financial circumstances. To make this possible, SYT offers
both installment payment plans and partial scholarships to interested
families.
