SYT’s Registration Process
Because SYT is part of the State of California Community College system, there are several forms to fill out in order to successfully register and enroll. Registration policies are primarily guided by the college and youth theatre administrative staff and based on their years of experience. Enrollment is now open for all Fall classes.
HOW TO REGISTER:
Step 1
Complete College Application
If your child attended a SYT class last semester, you just need to update their application for admission by “clicking” on My Solano on the SCC website.
If your child has never attended an SYT class you will need to complete an application for admission to the college. If your child is 13 or older, you can fill out an application online through the College website (please keep in mind that this part of the process takes 24-48 hours for the application to download to the College).
Due to changes at the State level, all students under the age of 13 will need to submit a paper application for admission. Please complete and return with the Special Admission Form to the SYT office as soon as possible or bring with you to the Registration Fair. You will not be able to register for classes until you complete this step and step #2.
Step 2
Complete and turn in the Special Admission Form
The Special Admission Form is required to attend classes at Solano Youth Theatre. Please complete the form, get it signed by the Principal of your child's school, come to our office to obtain the necessary SCC signature and turn in the form to the Office of Admission and Records before you register for class.
You may NOT attend class until this form has been received by the Office of Admission and Records!
Step 3
Register and pay for the college class
You can pay the Office of Admissions and Records with a credit card when you register online. Personal checks and money orders can be mailed to the Admissions and Records Office, 4000 Suisun Valley Rd, Fairfield, CA 94534. All students are required to pay a $13 health service fee ($5 for Summer semester). Please include your student's social security number or college ID number on all correspondence.
Solano Youth Theatre Fall and Spring classes have the Course Number, "Theatre 105" and the Course Title, "Solano Youth Theatre."
Solano Youth Theatre Summer classes have the Course Number, "Theatre 107" and the Course Title, "Acting for Youth."
The Teen Touring Company costs $13.00 in the Fall/Spring and 5.00 during the Summer.

Step 4
Enroll and pay for the Production portion of the class. (Green card)
Enrollment in the production portion of the class is through the Community Services department. (You must complete every item on the Green Form.) Discounts, scholarships and financial aid are available. Please contact Jennifer in the SYT office if you have any questions.
Fall & Spring Production Fees are $275 for the Mainstage Musicals and $250 for the Munchkin Players.
Summer Fees are $150 per session and $250 if attending both sessions.
Step 5
Complete the SYT Registration Forms
Fill out the SYT Forms completely, adding additional documentation as necessary. Signatures are required in 3 places for students and parents. Please turn this documentation in to the SYT office along with the Production Enrollment (Green Card) and your Production Payment before the first day of class.
