“SMATs”What are SMATs? Why, they’re STUDENT MATINEES , of course! At Solano Youth Theatre, we understand the importance of the arts in children’s lives. While it’s not possible for every child in Solano County to participate in SYT programs directly, we do our best to bring the thrill of live theatre to all young people by giving them the chance to see their peers performing on stage via exciting and affordable school outings. We encourage you to take advantage of this unique opportunity to expose your students to the imagination-expanding, intellectually stimulating, emotionally-uplifting world of theatre. Last year over eight THOUSAND area students and their teachers joined us for one of these fun, fabulous field trips. During the 2007-08 season, SYT will be working with our community business partners in the hope of being able to underwrite some of the costs of bussing local students to and from SMAT performances.
